  20. NO NO.  I hear this 100 times.

  22. EC stands for Embedded Controller, which was the original indended application of
  23. this line of chips.  It does not mean "EConomy" this is just a coincidence.
  24. It would not make much sense to sell chips called "Economy 68030" or "68030 Lite",
  25. they're not trying to make the chips sound cheap, it has a more technical meaning.

  27. This RUMOR started because everyone flings around the name 68EC0x0 but no one
  28. actually knows what it means, so they guess at it....

  31. department for a brocure clarifying this matter if anyone begs to differ with me.
